The first time coffee was introduced in the 16th and 17th centuries in European countries. In Ayurveda coffee is considered for both, for some  Medicine and for others as poison at certain times and in certain situations. 

At the end of the 17th century across Britain, the British colonies in America, and continental Europe had started Coffeehouses. By the closing  of the 17th century, the world’s limited supply of coffee reached almost entirely the province of Yemen in southern Arabia with increasing popularity of the beverage, producing the plant spread quickly to Java and other islands of the Indonesian archipelago in the 17th century and in 18th century at Hawaiian Islands the America’s was started planting coffee in 1825.

But what coffee contains:-

  • Caffeine 
  • Tannins 
  • Fixed oil  
  • Carbohydrates
  • Proteins

Caffeine is present as a salt of chlorogenic acid (CGA). Excessing the consumption of coffee may lead to many problems on your skin.

Tannins is present as a compound called chlorogenic acid that is classified as a tannin.

Fixed oil (Coffee oil) in coffee has high levels of vitamin E, phytosterols, antioxidants and essential fatty acids.

Carbohydrates in coffee is 31 g of carbohydrate per 50 g of coffee but we divided it into 26 g of sugar and 3 g of dietary fibre, the rest of it is considered as complex carbohydrates.

Proteins in coffee are Amino acids, peptides and the main role of these proteins is to improve the quality of  coffee. While roasting coffee beans these proteins interact with carbohydrates. This process is called the Maillard reaction.

Anything that we consume excess is harmful for health, sometimes skin and also hair. To stay healthy and beautiful, we have to consume in a healthy way and also be limited. 

Anything that we consume in limit that thing does not harm our body.
